Today we threw out the goulash. We tried to spice and moisten it yesterday but it still was totally unappetizing.
We had oatmeal and scrambled eggs for breakfast. For lunch we had zucchini leftover from before and Zatarian's rice and beans.
For dinner I made potato soup. So easy but really good. Boil potatoes in just enough water to cover. Mix some flour and milk. Add a little hot ptoato water to that and pour it back in. Add corn and heat. We also added shredded cheddar cheese. It was very good.
Jason had started a loaf of wheat challa in the bread machine but it wasn't done yet so he made cream biscuits. Took about 25 minutes start to finish. Yum!!
Cressida did not like the soup but everyone else did. I have been making this potato soup without the cheese for Jason since way back. it is one of his favorites. He asked "Will there be leftovers for my lunch tomorrow?" There are and he made me feel so good in the process.
This was right in plan with the menu. I think we are back on track for the week. Running errands can be a drag. I am not planning to buy produce unless I must. The kids will need to do prunes, dried apples, applesauce, etc. for lunches I guess. I will likely have to get milk before Friday.
